Times are tough, they have been tough, they continue to be tough. I know from conversations out there that many entrepreneurs, while they're continuing to build their businesses, are actually also looking for a job, part-time or even full-time, to augment their income. I'm also specially attuned to new job search resources these days, as my younger daughter continues to job hunt in the tough market of New York City. So, I thought I'd share with you all this great job board I just discovered through - what else - a Savor member!
Here's a little digression about the Six Degrees of Separation phenomenon. One of the members of our Savor Costa Mesa group mentioned that she'd been contacted by Todd Herschberg, a SoCal networker extraordinaire, because he'd noticed one of the blogs she writes. This then brought up a discussion about his local networking group called OCEAN and his very popular blog, which has an incredible Alexa ranking. Another of our members mentioned having met Todd via overhearing someone talking to him about his blog a few months earlier. Later, I connected with Todd serendipitously through LinkedIn, not remembering his last name from the prior discussion and so not realizing that it was this same person. I mentioned my Savor connection, and he said, "Oh yes, I just met with a member of your group earlier today." Everything is connected, yes?
Anyway, Todd's great job board is free for all job-seekers and it's called Todd Herschberg's Job Board. How's that for plain and simple? It lists jobs all across the US. For those wanting to post a job, there's a fee of $5 for 7 days. Happy hunting!
