Last week I blogged about a great Facebook trick to build "Likers" by adding an incentivized custom tab to your business page. Building Likers builds credibility, and the incentivized page not only helps you do this, it also gives your visitors a reason to visit your page (other than answering your plea to Like you). Once you've enticed your visitor to click Like, you now have an opportunity to demonstrate your product or service, and link people back to your site.
Whew. If that's not enough, here's another reason to build Likers - and it's a feature that many Facebook business page owners don't know about - you can send direct messages to your Likers through the Facebook system!
Here's how:
Under the image in the upper left corner of your FB business page, click Edit Page. (Sigh - another weird navigation, courtesy of the convoluted logic of the Facebook programmers.)
Now look for the green Promote your page title bar above the middle column.
Scroll down to the black Promote your page heading.
Click on Send an Update.
OMG! There's a form for composing a subject line and message. You can include links or a video if you wish. And you can send to all your Likers or a targeted group within your Likers list.
Use sparingly.
