Esma Studios jewelry is designed and created by self-taught artist Amy Martin. While the overall lines of Amy’s designs have a modern simplicity, the rustic textures within them pay homage to days gone by. Much of her inspiration comes from her favorite fashions of past decades - the drapey, subtle femininity of the 1920s; the fun, bold shapes of the 1960s; and the floaty, relaxed fashion of the 1970s. Her designs also reflect her interest in abandoned places and ancient ruins that tell the story of a past life. She is intrigued by items that were used, worn, loved, forgotten, and then found again.
