    Loose transcript:

(Angela Jia Kim of Savor the Success.)

I recently heard a powerful quote from Tony Robbins: "Don't surround yourself with people who just affirm you... surround yourself with people who challenge you."

During our last 7FC retreat, we were sharing with each other in an honest conversation what we felt each person's self sabotage or blindspots may be. You can do the same thing... get a group of women together (who you really trust and who have your back) and take an inventory of where you may be holding yourself back where your blindspots may be. Write it down.

Notice when you are about to uplevel your game or about to hit upon bigger successes, some of these self-sabotage techniques or blindspots start to pop up.

Awareness alone is extremely powerful and can help propel you forward.

Stay tuned for more tips... until next time, savor the success! :)

    Do you self sabotage?

We all do, but the more you are aware of your tendencies, the more you can move through them.

Through helping thousands of women entrepreneurs launch and sustain their businesses and also working very intimately with a handful of women in my clubs, I am seeing a pattern emerge that I am sharing with you:

Dream... roll up sleeves and get to work... fun... loving the progress...

    almost reaching goal... SABOTAGE... stop.

    Repeat.

I'm not going to get into the psychology of why we self sabotage because I'm not a psychologist. What I do want to share is the top five sabotage that I've seen and what you can do about it.

    1. Distraction: Do you have your eye on the ball or do you pick up a new shiny object when things get rolling?

If you are doing this to yourself, here are some things you can do:

    • Get plugged into your passion. You may not be loving your path and therefore you want to find something else to do.
    • If you have to get something done, tur [...]

Loose transcription: A 60-second tip from Angela Jia Kim of Savor the Success, the Premium Business Network for Women Business Owners!

Make sure that there are no distractions for your potential buyer. Angela shares a story from Om Aroma, her boutique spa in the West Village of New York City. When Angela announced that she decided to remove the beautiful plush couch from the store to make room for retail shelving, her employees hoped she would reconsider because the couch is so inviting and comfortable. She heard from an employee that when two friends had come in, while one was getting a facial, the other ended up taking an hour nap on the comfy couch. Angela knew that some customers would end up sitting and relaxing, instead of shopping and buying. It is important to make sure it is very clear what you are selling, and to create a very clear yellow brick road for your customer to click and buy.

This week's Woman of the Week is Lisa Hufford, Founder and President of Simplicity Consulting, Inc. Lisa's company was ranked #54 on Inc.'s 500 list in 2011, and in 2012, her company brought in a cool $14.2 million.

As a new Premium Member of Savor the Success, we are also looking forward to having Lisa as a speaker for this year's Woman Entrepreneurs Rock the World conference about personal branding and how to use it to create massive success.

During my recent visit to Seattle, we sat down for lunch and talked about today's entrepreneurial world, how women need to stick together to help one another, and how successful entrepreneurs do more than they talk.

What's your story? How did you get started?

I started my business in 2006 because I was looking for flexibility after having my second child. After working 14 years in sales management and business development roles for large corporations, including Microsoft, I realized that I had the desirable skills that allowed me [...]

Can you guess what that word is?

Let me first tell you how to get it before I reveal what the word is. :)

The other day, I shared with Savor Premium Members my Daily Action Plan - Inspir-Action! It's from my M.A.N.I.F.E.S.T Method that I've developed from my concert piano days and throughout my journey as an entrepreneur to make s*** happen. :)

At the core of the method is my Daily Action Plan... because what you do on a daily basis adds up to the sum of your current reality.

The Daily Action Plan is divided into seven parts, one of which is called: "Send Out 3 Ships". From the emails and comments I received, this part was a popular hit with the women!

The concept of the ships came from one of my favorite books of all time, Chellie Campbell's The Wealthy Spirit. The idea is that in the old times, people would send out ships and wait for something to come back to them. Some ships would never come back because they would get wrecked in a storm. Some would come back with food. [...]
