Several years ago (2007) I launched denken Research & Consulting to provide end-to-end market research, education, and writing services to small business owners, particularly start-ups. Several years ago (2007) I launched denken Research & Consulting to provide end-to-end market research, education, and writing services to small business owners, particularly start-ups. My specialty was in helping entrepreneurs properly position their products/services/businesses in the marketplace to increase their chances of success and growth. I have a particular interest in female entrepreneurs and have done extensive research on the subject.

While I still do consulting projects on the side, I have been focusing my energy on something else. In 2010 I completed my PhD at NYU where I did my dissertation on the learning experiences of female entrepreneurs. I have since been teaching full-time in the Gabelli School of Business at Fordham University. I teach both Management and Entrepreneurship courses, but am also (and more importantly) the Director of the Entrepreneurship Program and have just launched a new, experiential program this fall (2011). In addition, I am the Advisor of the Entrepreneurship Society and the lead coordinator for our annual entrepreneurship event entitled "TrepCon" (http://entrepreneurship.gabelliconnect.com), which will be Nov 14-17, 2011. We have a host of amazing events on deck from roundtable discussions, panels, book signings and a networking reception. For the first time we are opening the doors to the general public so I encourage you to attend, spread the word and also let me know if you'd be interested in being a speaker at future events.
