Alizabeth is usually a pretty shy person but she loves fun vibrant colors. It allows her to let her real side show through. You can see if when you look around at her stuff - She's the goofy girl who still has those fun colored notebooks instead of the basic styles, her cell phone case is hot pink, and her nails are always painted in vibrant colors. She just can't seem to get enough of the colors. She figures it is a great way to stand out - without really standing out. So Alizabeth designs her jewelry lines like that, great fun little pieces that jump with colors.

An Arizona native, Alizabeth was born there but moved around a lot when she was a kid. She currently lives there with her husband and their 3 kids. She designs out of her home studio so she can have the ability to be near their children, which is extremely important to her.

Previously she worked in graphic design and visual communications for over 10 years but was never happy with it and wanted to do something that allowed a whole lot more creativity. She used to do all sorts of crafty stuff when she was a kid (including jewelry) but had lost that side of herself as she grew up. Why jewelry? A friend of hers who is also a jewelry designer reintroduced her to jewelry creation. She realized how much she loved doing it as well as thought it made a perfect fit. She could create fun pieces that would fit into her styles. And thus her fire was lit and Alizabeth O. was born.

On a Greener Side

AOD sends all her silver scraps in to be refined and reused. NO trash can! Plus broken stones and such don't just get tossed - she likes to use them in different art projects. It's much better to refine the silver or get creative with the stones that "don't make the cut" instead of just wasting them!
