The Diva Toolbox is the brainchild of Janet Powers who lives in Reading, Massachusetts. In 2008, Janet left a Vice President role in corporate America to create the Diva Toolbox. The mission of the business is to bring women together to connect and support each other through all the rites of passage. For example through career changes, marriage, divorce, health issues, child rearing, financial decisions, death of a loved one, entrepreneurship, elder care and all other areas of today’s modern woman. Initially, support was offered through free articles that were posted on the web site by female experts from around the world. Currently there are over 800 contributors who post articles and resources on the web site each month. In 2009, Janet launched the Diva Toolbox Radio Network which hosts over 100 different radio shows (and growing) including her own show called Across the Kitchen Table With Janet. In 2010, Janet added an “Ask the Authority” service on the web site and partners with over 35 authorities who actively engage with and answer questions from web site visitors every week. Also in 2010, Janet created an in-person conference in Boston, Massachusetts, that brings together hundreds of women from around the world. The summer of 2010 will usher in new service offerings including Diva Toolbox TV and Divasations, an online magazine for women.
Diva Toolbox has partnerships with Pitchrate.com, Com F 5, Simmons Leadership Conference, The Women’s Economic Summit and Blog Talk Radio and is active in philanthropic efforts including working with CARE.org and ArmyofWomen.org.

Diva Toolbox is privately owned by Janet Powers, who was awarded the 2010 President’s Call to Service Award from President Obama and was nominated for the NAFE Outstanding Entrepreneur Award.
