Having grown up in a family owned retail shop that operated on the East Side of Providence for over 30 years, I have seen firsthand the importance of excellent customer service, that is, treating every customer equally, and making beautiful things accessible. This included sometimes educating the customer about handmade items and why it was so crucial to support those making housewares or functional art using traditional methods. Although the family store is no longer a brick and mortar, I still endeavor to provide handmade goods for the home and handmade paper supplies.
