My name is Jody Philips, for the past 25 years I have had the passion for making a difference in a child’s life through the art of dance. Teaching life skills such as respect for others, discipline, organization, self respect, and team building. I have had the privilege to be a part of thousands of children’s lives teaching them “The Rhythm of Excellence” for both recreational and competitive students. Along with teaching and owning dance studios, I have also developed a children’s pilot called “Just Kids Networking.” I have conducted many workshops bringing in famous instructors from around the world through a business venue called “Today’s Talent Network” along with creating “The Edge” workshops which stands for Education, Discipline through the Arts, Guidance Education. My business has been nominated twice for Small Business of the Year by the Kansas City Chamber of Commerce. I am a member of the Chicago National Association of Dance Masters, and I continue to develop venues and opportunities that would have a greater and more positive impact for our youth.

As an entrepreneur of various businesses, another facet to my experience is my background in multimedia world of radio, newspaper, direct marketing, and six years as Manager of Southeast Kansas News Bureau at an NBC affiliate. I continue to write and produce ads for several businesses.

I am currently working towards developing a multi-media talk show concerning children and young adults with Laurie Johnson, (www.lauriejohnson). With my years of experience teaching thousands of children and working with thousands of parents, raising two of my own children, and being married for 33 years, I am excited to develop this venue for children and young adults.

As I teach my students, “Networking is a Key to Life”, I consider “Savor The Success” an organization that would be very beneficial for me and in turn I will be a mentor for others.
