Julie has over 15 years of marketing experience in management consulting, software development and book publishing and is able to oversee a cohesive strategy incorporating all three aspects of any marketing project: content development, art direction, and technical implementation/ print production. Previous positions include co-founder and publisher of SmartsCo, consultant for the Great Place to Work Institute, product manager and alliance manger at Onlink Technologies (acquired by Siebel Systems), and manager in Ernst & Young’s management consulting practice. She holds an MBA from Washington University in St. Louis and a bachelor of arts in Political Science from University of California, Santa Barbara.
Julie is a winner of the Make Mine a $Million entrepreneurship award, and has been a featured speaker at several small business conferences including: American Express Small Business Forum on SBTV, the Commonwealth Club of California, Ladies Who Launch, the Women’s Leadership Exchange as well as various radio appearances. She appeared in a national TV, radio, web, and print ad campaign for OPEN by American Express, and has been featured in several publications including The Wall Street Journal, Entrepreneur Magazine, Start-Up Nation, and several others. Currently she is a mentor with the Hatch Network, helping women entrepreneurs get their businesses started.
