I opened artisTree studio to give local visual and performing artists the space and freedom to pursue creative enterprise on their own terms. While I recognize the importance of non-profit arts support organizations, artisTree is intentionally an arts enterprise. A central goal of the artisTree endeavor is to free individual artists and small arts companies from the limits imposed by patronage-style funding, empowering them to create sustainable arts businesses.
