Nancy’s Story Finding a Cure Creates a New Venture
After spending over 15 years on Wall Street at major brokerage firms including Morgan Stanley, Credit Suisse First Boston, Lehman Brothers and the last 7 years at Goldman Sachs, I found myself driven in another career direction. As I reflect on the former career in brokerage, I remember how much I loved the people, the array of intelligence, challenges, commitment and excellence. I loved traveling and working with over 150 institutional clients; I was writing for vault.com as their e-commerce expert and on the Board of Directors for Iona College. Life was fun, fast paced and full! I had just finished writing an article for vault.com with reference to having more than one career in a lifetime. Who knew my career journey was about to take a sharp twist! When my youngest son was diagnosed with a liver disorder and numerous allergies, I felt compelled to intervene when doctors did not offer much hope. I closed the chapter of my career life at GS and went on to study for my Masters in Nutrition while researching with scientists worldwide to find a cure for my son’s condition. The work ethic that I was so acquainted to at GS helped me endure long days and nights and stay focused. The final result was nothing short of a miracle and I was changed for life, so CoachforHealthLiving.com was born.
Now, my mission is more than a career, empowering others to learn and lead a healthier lifestyle utilizing non-invasive tests, educational seminars and science-based quality products. I am a Defeat Autism Now Practitioner, one of Jenny McCarthy's Generation Rescue Practitioner, Certified Nutritionist, Navigating the Spectrum Health Expert, MorgellonsFocus Practitioner Expert, GFCF Diet Counselor with office locations in Greenwich, CT, Westchester County and NYC.
Switching careers at any age, has its challenges but persistence and love of the mission is imperative. I offer private consultations, either in the office or via telephone for out-of-state clients, as well as corporate wellness programs that are so beneficial to the executives that it really proves they are the organization’s best asset, especially if they feel good and striving to reach their optimal health.
My personal tip to others: Be flexible when you have to be and always research for the hidden cure.
