Peggy Gaffney is the designer of portraits of dogs in knitting. Her business, Kanine Knits Books & Patterns, has created The Crafty Dog Knits series of books, describing one breed per book with stories, charted knitting patterns and designs for sweaters, hats, mittens, scarves, etc. The breeds: Labrador Retrievers, Golden Retrievers, Samoyeds, Newfoundlands, Bernese Mt Dogs, Welsh Corgis and Poodles each have a book and there are many more on the way. Kanine Knits also has individual patterns for more than 100 dog breeds.
