Made from recycled saris and raw silk, each of our saris is carefully cut into squares, creatively arranged and sewn in place creating a stunning and beautiful throw. Our throws are made locally right here in New York City with the help of Wishwas, a non-profit organization that provides low-income immigrant women in the NYC area an opportunity to earn a fair wage while acquiring new skills. Sari throws measure: 50" x 75"; $375. Many of the fabrics used in our pillow collection are sourced from women artisan cooperatives from around the globe. Our latest collection incorporates hand-­‐woven and hand-­‐dyed batik fabrics from Chantal, an artisan from rural Togo. By purchasing our batik cloth from Chantal and others like her, we give them an opportunity to earn a fair wage that help change their lives, support their families and expand their businesses. Though we source our fabrics globally our production is done locally in New York City. Pillow fun!
