I consider myself a pretty informed consumer. I shop on the internet every so often and browse my local stores frequently. But often times when I was ready to buy, I would forget where and what my sustainable options were - how I wished I had one place to go. Often times I would resort to something else that was not socially-responsible because I didn't want to spend days researching or driving around. I have lived in many cities, large and small, and I ran into this same problem in every location. Some times there were specialty stores nearby that focused on fair-trade or eco-friendly products, but I wanted more options and I knew there were many other stores that carried sustainable items too. I wished I had one place go that would help me locate these goods locally or give me the option of choosing something that was shipped from a location closer to home. So...came the birth of this business and its mission."
