My Life Compass is a personal development company dedicated to helping women reconnect with their passion, rediscover their strengths, and regain their confidence. It provides affordable life coaching, including live virtual and in-person group coaching, based on the Compass MAP(tm) [Monthly Action Plan], a self-help product focusing on helping women deal with issues, create plans and improve their lives in areas such as money, relationships, success, and health and wellness.

My responsibilities include creating the monthly Compass MAP(tm) product, managing the Compass Advice Bloggers and working on other content-related projects as they come up. These various aspects of my work allow me to indulge in my natural talent as a writer while challenging and growing my skills in project management, marketing and product development.

I am a writer and web geek with a background in coaching and coach training. An inveterate freelancer, I have successfully enjoyed such professional pursuits as personal development coaching, providing coach training in the field of social networking and working as a web marketing consultant and copywriter for small, web-based businesses. On the personal side of things, I have served two, one-year terms in Americorps (with the Durham, NC, Habitat for Humanity and the Asheville, NC, ChildrenFirst/United Way). I am currently on the Leadership Committee of my local Habitat For Humanity's Women Build program, which helps put low-income families into safe, affordable housing while empowering women in the community who volunteer to build those homes.

Currently, I am enjoying the mountain lifestyle of Asheville, North Carolina, where I live with husband and our cats. I am particularly drawn to the strong community spirit, artistic vibe and progressive attitude of the region, which is renown for its eclectic population and scenic setting.
